Volzsky appeared on the map of the Soviet Union thanks to hidro-power electro-station.

Fifty years ago there was a naked steppe here and it was hard to believe that some day the stormy life will full swing on this land, but it was much harder to believe that very soon a wonderful cosy town will appear here, a town buried in parks’ verdure, splashing with the freshness of fountains and smelling the roses of lawns.

The Volzsky is one of the greenest city in Russia.

Volzsky is the city of region’s subordination situated in 28.7 km from Volgograd. It occupied the territory in 14493 ga (including villages Red October’s, Worker’s, Green). The territory of the city devised on 42 districts, 30 blocks with digital and 6 blocks with lithed numeration.
